We emphasize patriotism as one of our core values, particularly in the Fourth Degree, which is dedicated to promoting a love of country, civic responsibility, and a commitment to the Church.
Patriotism and Faith: The Knights view patriotism through the lens of their Catholic faith. Members are encouraged to be loyal citizens who honor their country while upholding Christian values in civic life.
Civic Responsibility: Knights of the Fourth Degree often participate in public service activities, including honoring veterans, supporting military families, and advocating for moral and ethical policies in society.
Respect for Authority: Patriotism, as taught by the Knights, includes respect for law, order, and the country's governing institutions, promoting unity and charity within communities.
Defending Religious Liberty: The Knights are also dedicated to defending religious freedoms and promoting individuals' rights to practice their faith openly.
Our concept of patriotism intertwines love for both God and country, aiming to strengthen society through moral and civic leadership.
Fourth Degree members of our council belong to the Cardinal Wright Assembly #1322, which represents councils in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.
