Grace Gaita Memorial Scholarships and Awards Program:
Grace Gaita (Class of 2023) was a student who valued her faith, family, education, and community. Grace was a gentle person who had a passion for academic achievement and those around her. In particular, she enjoyed religion, math, and music.
The Grace Gaita Scholarships and Awards Program was established in 2022 after she passed suddenly from an unexpected health event. These scholarships are awarded to two incoming Bishop Canevin Marching Crusaders students and two incoming freshman students (with preference given to Ave Maria Academy alumni where Grace attended).
Students who receive the Religion Department Award and the Math Perseverance Award are also awarded. The scholarship also provides assistance for faith-based activities, including class retreats, and for enhancing school-related Masses.
