Passing of Brother Sir Knight Tim Murphy

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Brother Sir Knight Timothy F. Murphy, who entered into eternal rest at the age of 73.

Tim was an Honorary Life Member of our Order and lived his Catholic faith through a lifetime of service to others. He was also an Emmaus brother and active member of More's Men at Resurrection Parish.

Many knew him as “Dr. Tim,” a compassionate psychologist who helped countless families, and as a public servant who represented our region in Congress for 15 years. His work in mental health reform and his commitment to defending the dignity of every person were rooted in his deep faith and desire to serve those most in need.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tim’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nanette; his daughter, Bevin; her husband, Dan; and his three grandchildren, along with many siblings and extended family members.

We ask you to keep Tim and his family in your prayers. Please consider donating to Band of Parents in support of pediatric cancer research, specifically Neuroblastoma.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24 from 2:00–8:00 p.m. at Beinhauer Funeral Home in McMurray. A Mass of Remembrance will take place on Saturday, July 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Vivat Jesus!
