South Hills Knights Council Charity Dinner 2019

On October 16, 2019, our Council hosted our annual Charity Dinner, where we recognized the numerous charities from the South Hills and Greater Pittsburgh Area that we financially support. This year, we presented over $39,000 to these organizations for their work in education, social services, life issues, etc.

Those organizations with representatives present to receive their checks were: People Concerned for the Unborn Child, Human Coalition, Angles Place, St. Thomas More School, St. Anne School, St. Winifred Food Bank, Oakland Catholic, Central Catholic, Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Vincent de Paul, and Mary’s Place.

Those unable to be with us this year included St. Louise School, Seton LaSalle, Bishop Canevin, St. Joseph House, and St. Mary of Mercy Red Door.

We were happy to welcome four priests who joined us, Fr. Mike Ackerman (our keynote speaker), Fr. James Chepponis, Fr. Richard Infante, and Fr. Joseph Codori.

It is important for the Council to maintain good relations with the organizations/charities we serve, and it's great to put faces to names. Everyone is grateful for the opportunity to hear what they are doing in our area to help with the many needs we have. A good time, with very good food and nice company, was had by all who attended.

Thank you to everyone who came, and we look forward to next year!
