Knights of Columbus Support Four Men to be Ordained Priests in Pittsburgh

This is one of those moments you don’t take for granted.

Our council has had the privilege of supporting four men who are now about to be ordained priests. That happens on June 27 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Cathedral, and it’s a big deal not just for them but for everyone who’s been part of their journey.

Erik Pintar (Corpus Christi Parish), Matthew Selzer (Sts. Francis and Clare Parish), Loc Van Tran (Our Lady of Hope Parish), and Nicholas Wytiaz (Resurrection Parish) have each put in years of discernment, formation, and sacrifice to get to this point. We’ve been able to support them along the way, and now we get to see that calling come full circle.

The next day, June 28, each of them will celebrate their First Mass. If you’ve never been to one, it’s something special. It’s the first time they offer the Mass as a priest, and you can feel the weight and the joy of it all at the same time.

First Mass schedule:

  • Nicholas Wytiaz — 10 AM at St. Augustine Church (Lawrenceville)

  • Erik Pintar — Noon at St. Paul Cathedral (Oakland)

  • Loc Van Tran — 1 PM at St. Valentine Church (Bethel Park)

  • Matthew Selzer — 3 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Church (Perrysville)

As Knights, this is exactly why we do what we do. Supporting vocations isn’t just an idea; it’s real people, real stories, and moments like this. These men are stepping into something bigger than themselves, and we’ve had a small part in helping them get there.

Let’s show up for it.
